Tomorrow I’m off to Thailand for a couple of weeks for my brother’s wedding, so I thought it would be fitting to post a shot I took the last time I was there.

This old lady stayed in a house with her daughter who made straw hats for tourists. It looked like a lot of effort went into the hats and so it felt like you were stealing when you bought one for about 40 pence (although you have to remember that a homeless man over here would probably be wealthier than most over there).

I asked how old the lady was (rude, I know), excitedly expecting to hear that she had just turned 100. But it turned out that she was only about 72 – I thought she could probably do with a visit from Gok Wan to help reverse the signs of aging.

I never really got round to processing my pictures from my last trip to Thailand so I really should catch up when I get back. I’ve got a few shots to automatically post over the next few days so please keep visiting.
